Good Evening Pinellas Prep Families,
I hope all is well with you and you are all ready for another week of school. I had a few things I wanted to share with you:
Parent Night at PPA
Please remember to RSVP for the upcoming Parent Night at PPA (Monday, September 28). We will have dinner starting at 6:30pm, catered from Seminole Family Restaurant. We are asking that families contribute what they are able/feel comfortable for the meal for the first time we run a parent night. At about 7:00pm I will be giving a presentation on how to use Gradebook Wizard, how to access online textbooks, and the basics of Google Docs. We hope to have a good turn out, but need to have exact numbers to provide to Seminole Family Restaurant. Field Trips
There are several upcoming field trips, many of which we still need chaperones for. If you’re interested in helping out, please contact either your child’s homeroom teacher, or Pam Biagini. Here are some of the upcoming trips we still need help with:

Progress Reports
Progress reports will be sent home on Thursday. They are printed directly from Gradebook Wizard, but just in case there are some of you who haven’t checked in lately, a paper version will come home with your students.
School Picture Day
Please remember that school picture day is coming in a little over a week (September 30). Be sure your students come dressed in their best.
Website
You may have noticed many updates to our website recently. We are still working out a few tweaks, but are pleased with how it is working out. One great thing is that there are easy ways to watch for anything that has been updated on the website. Just go to: http://www.pinellasprep.org/recent and you can see any updates within the last two weeks. If you use an RSS reader (like Google Reader) you can easily watch for updates to our website by subscribing to: http://www.pinellasprep.org/recent/feed/ Another great tool you can use is called “Feed My Inbox” which will watch for updates on our website and email them to you anytime there are updates. Just go to http://www.feedmyinbox.com/ and use the /recent address listed above.
Please know that all news and information for parents will be posted electronically this year, we are not sending home newsletters. So please find a way to watch our website that works for you!
School Lunches
We still do not have enough parent volunteers to assist with the delivery or serving of school lunches to be able to switch to hot lunches. We hope that parents will be able to volunteer so we can go back to offering better lunches. If you’re interested in learning more or helping out, please contact Pam Biagini.
