The PPA Summer mailing is in the process of being collated and mailed.  If you have an hour or two to spare over the next few days, we could use your help with stuffing envelopes. Give the office a call at 727-536-3600 if you're available.   Thanks!

We are excited about our upcoming Field Day for PPA on Friday of this week (May 21).  to help the day be successful, please keep the following points in mail.

We are in need of donations of about 1,126 healthy snacks by March 9. Each morning of the FCAT, we give students a healthy snack before sending them back to their room to begin the FCAT testing. We would rather they focus on the test then on an empty stomach, and it is a bit of time for kids to relax before taking the test. If you could make a donation, please drop them off at PPA by March 5. Snacks could include individual packages of pretzels, granola bars, peanuts, etc. We also could use apple juice, orange juice, etc. along with small individual sized cups (i.e. Dixie cups). And finally, we could also use help from 8:00 – 8:45 on March 9 through the 11to distribute the snacks.   Please contact the office if you have any questions. Thanks!

The third annual Spring Fair is coming soon!  The Parent Teacher Enrichment Group [PTEG] has been working hard at planning an exciting day which will include a video game experience bus, giant inflatables, games galore, food and prizes!  It will be an exciting day, and we hope you are planning to attend.  The event will be from 11am - 3pm on Saturday, March 6.  If you're interested in volunteering, we still have a few spots available, otherwise feel free to come to just enjoy some wholesome time with your family.

Here is a video highlighting the events from Last Year's Spring Fair:

Pinellas Preparatory Academy is helping out Florida Blood Services by sponsoring a blood drive on Thursday, October 8, 2009. The bloodmobile will be available at the school from 7:15am until 12:00pm for anyone willing to contribute.  Florida Blood Services has set a goal of 16 pints of blood for this event.  We hope you will consider staying at PPA when you drop your child off on Thursday to give the gift of life... blood.

Below are two fliers from Florida Blood Services that I thought you might be interested in, which list reasons to donate as well as who is eligible.

Thank you for considering a donation.
